    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Position and clamp work piece together or assemble them into jig or fixture.
    • Tack assemblies together according to specific processes and print specifications.
    • Manually guide electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molten puddle.
    • Perform in-process visual weld inspections of own work for quality and accuracy according to prints. Finish welds according to process and print specifications.
    • Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
    • Understand and follow weld procedure specifications (WPS).
    • Ability to work overtime is required. When assigned overtime, must be able to report to work two hours before normally scheduled work hours.

    Education and/or Experience:

    Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Experience Required

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Assist the Finance Director with the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the Finance & Accounting Department, including budget review and analysis and audit preparation.
    • Perform Month-End Close procedures for the organization.
    • Prepare and analyze monthly Sales & Use Tax reports with the Dept. of Revenue.
    • Manage Fixed Asset accounting and reconcile depreciation general journal entries.
    • Perform the processing of expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, and recording of reclassification journal entries as needed.
    • Review, analyze, and proactively address job costing variances.
    • Perform weekly/monthly gross margin analysis and resolve significant discrepancies.
    • Review and reconcile cash accounts.
    • Review and process credit card expense reports and receipts submitted by cardholders.
    • Reconcile General Ledger Accounts and analyze discrepancies.
    • Reconcile daily Cash inflow/outflow statements.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and the collections of Accounts Receivable.
    • Assist in IT Administration, as needed.
    • Directly supervise employees in the Accounting Department.
    • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

    Skills

    • Monitor and collect data to assess accuracy and integrity; analyze data; ensure compliance with applicable standards (GAAP), rules, regulations and systems of internal control; interpret and evaluate results, prepare documentation, and create financial reports.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in fast paced and dynamic work environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel; experience with accounting/ERP software preferred
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail; ability to maintain accurate records of confidential data.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision
    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to work in a team environment, collaborating with other teams within the organization to reach a common goal.

    Experience/Education

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (will consider candidates with equivalent combination of training and experience)
      • 3+ years’ experience in finance/accounting role (preferably within the manufacturing industry)
      • Previous experience with Visual Manufacturing a plus, but not required

    Physical Demands

    Must be able to frequently stand, walk (including frequent use of stairs), sit, and use hands and arms to reach. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

    • Interpret complicated drawings, program sheets, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be completed.
    • Must be able to program and set-up; and have knowledge of machining techniques and methods for tool operating procedures.
    • Performing diversified operations on numerical control machining centers.
    • Performing a variety of milling, drilling, boring, or related operations to close and interrelated tolerances.
    • Reviewing setup sheet and specifications to determine machining sequence and dimensions of finished workpiece.
    • Performs a variety of inspection and gaging operations to insure maintenance of quality standards and specifications.
    • Machines materials other than metal, such as composites, plastic and rubber.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or general education degree; or 2 – 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must be able to accurately read and interpret blueprints/work insturctions with minimal direction.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts.

    Experience Required

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to in order to build complete and accurate estimates from prints.
    • Attend pre-bid meetings and perform site investigations to prepare estimates accurately
    • Read and understand contract documents (plans, specifications and addenda)
    • Perform digitized quantity take-offs and organize the quantities with unit pricing in production of an estimate
    • Calculate setup and run rates for resources, material costs and outsourced vendor costs.
    • Solicit bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, if applicable
    • Communicate and reinforce the company vision, values and goals

    Skills and Experience Requirements:

    • Must have a 2 year degree in a manufacturing/industrial/construction related field with 4 – 6 years previous experience
    • Manufacturing/Industrial estimating experience, 5 years required. Experience in a steel fabrication or similar industry is strongly desired.
    • Blueprint reading required, including weld symbols, tolerances, GD&T
    • Strong working knowledge using MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and internet research
    • Previous experience with Visual Manufacturing program is beneficial
    • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge about estimating processes and software
    • Must have technical ability to do electronic take-offs and use estimating software
    • Strong attention to detail and prioritization
    • Leadership capabilities to hire, train, develop and maintain a high performing estimating team

    • Successful performance in a team environment required
