    Programming Excellence Needed … Is This You? Premier Fabrication is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our manufacturing team as a Machinist/Programmer. This person will be responsible for programming, reading and interpreting blue prints/work instructions,

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Interpret complicated drawings, program sheets, instructions, and process sheets to determine work to be completed.
    • Must be able to program and set-up; and have knowledge of machining techniques and methods for tool operating procedures.
    • Performing diversified operations on numerical control machining centers.
    • Performing a variety of milling, drilling, boring, or related operations to close and interrelated tolerances.
    • Reviewing setup sheet and specifications to determine machining sequence and dimensions of finished workpiece.
    • Performs a variety of inspection and gaging operations to insure maintenance of quality standards and specifications.
    • Machines materials other than metal, such as composites, plastic and rubber.


    • High school diploma or general education degree; or 2 – 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Must be able to accurately read and interpret blueprints/work instructions with minimal direction.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
    • Teamwork. Balances team and individual responsibilities; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interests. Demonstrates commitment to positive safety and quality practices.
    • Continuous Improvement. Demonstrates ability to identify and willingness to support continuous improvement opportunities related to increased sales, decreased costs, improvement customer service and/or increased throughput.

    Physical Demands:

    • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
